how It Works
- hormones: The Evra Patch Contains Two Hormones—ethinyl Estradiol (an Estrogen) And Norelgestromin (a Progestin). These Hormones Work Together To Prevent Ovulation, Thicken Cervical Mucus, And Alter The Uterine Lining To Prevent Pregnancy.
usage
- application: The Patch Is Applied To The Skin On The Lower Abdomen, Buttocks, Or Upper Body (but Not On The Breasts). It Should Be Worn For A Week At A Time.
- schedule: You Wear The Patch For Three Weeks (21 Days). During The Fourth Week, You Remove The Patch And Have A 7-day Patch-free Period, During Which You Will Have A Menstrual-like Withdrawal Bleed.
- replacement: You Need To Apply A New Patch At The Start Of Each Week For The First Three Weeks. For Example, If You Start On A Monday, You Should Replace The Patch Every Monday For Three Weeks.
