- perindopril Helps To Lower Blood Pressure By Inhibiting The Enzyme That Converts Angiotensin I To Angiotensin Ii, A Hormone That Causes Blood Vessels To Constrict. By Blocking This Enzyme, Perindopril Helps Relax Blood Vessels, Which Lowers Blood Pressure And Reduces The Workload On The Heart.
